This is one of the main mistakes we have all made!

If you want to build a successful and profitable business, online or offline, you must create value, and one of the easiest ways to see if your product/service creates value is by evaluating whether or not it solves a real problem or addresses a real need.

Sometimes people get so excited about their ideas, their new MLM or Home business that they forget to perform this major reality check.

Some of you might remember this and some of you are too young.  But look at this example back in the 90’s……

Motorola in the late 1990s illustrates this point perfectly. Around that time, the mobile market was in development, and service operators around the world were fighting to claim the increasing number of mobile users.

Most mobile networks, however, were using base stations that could cover  a small area.  Such technology obviously limited the range where operators could offer their services.

In order to address this limitation, Motorola tried to develop a network that would cover literally the whole world. It looked like a great innovation, and the management team was enthusiastic about the idea that people would be able to talk anywhere from the Sahara Desert to the North Pole. They thought that this would definitely create value for the customers.

The project required an investment of 7 billion dollars and it involved 88 satellites that were placed into orbit around Earth.

After the network was in place, they started selling the services. The handsets were large and clumsy, ( like caring a brick, I had one)

because they required a more complex technology. They were also selling for $3000 apiece, and call charges were incredibly high. But hey, those devices would allow users to communicate anywhere in the globe!

A couple of months later, once the novelty wore off, people started to realize that there was not such a strong need to make calls from a remote city in Sarah or from an island in in the Pacific ocean, after all. But it was already too late. Motorola not only missed the sales expectations by far, but it was also forced to keep paying the maintenance of the satellites, which amounted to 200 million dollars, monthly….

Motorola invested in what its managers thought would be a promising innovation, but there was no customer need to be met or problem to be solved in the first place. In 1999 they filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11.

Before starting your website, MLM, service or business,  make sure it will solve a real problem or address a real customer need.

Generating traffic to your websites is the most important factor for you online business success. It is like physical business if you do not have customers to your business or to your shop then you will never make sales or profits. First you need to choose your domain name and build your site but after these two steps you must start to generate targeted traffic to your website or else all your efforts on building your website is useless.

To generate traffic to your site you have to choose between two main methods. The first one is the paid method and the second one is the free method. You should know that you will provide two things in both methods time and money. In the paid method you will provide more money but you will save time while in the free method you will provide more time but you will save money. The paid methods contain email marketing, PPC advertising and banner ads while the free methods contain search engines free traffic, forum recommendations and blog links.

You will pay a lot of money if you choose one technique in the paid category but it will gives you fast results. The best sources for paid traffics are search engines advertising programs, e-mail marketing and banner advertising. You must test each one of them separately with different landing pages to know which one of them will work on your site, but you should start with pay per click advertising.

Pay per click advertising is the best method if you want to use the paid method. Generally you ask a webmaster that has site similar to your niche to display your link or your ad and when customer clicks on it you pay for that click. The better way is to use search engine advertising program because you can target specific keywords in your niche but the problem in PPC programs that you must have a high quality landing page and you must know how to write your ads right.

In free methods you do not pay money to get traffic but you put huge amount of time and effort to get it. You must write high quality content in your site and you must have something different and special in your site to make people link to you and recommended you. The search engine is the best method to get free traffic but you should know the basics of search engine optimization to make your site rank on it. There are two other ways to get free traffic likes writing articles on the major article directories which will drive traffic to your site and start interesting blog that attract people to your website.

Search engines free traffic is the dream of every webmaster because once you started to rank you will get huge amount of free traffic but you must know the basic of SEO to rank in search engines. You may hire SEO expert or ask for advice from search engine companies but it will cost you a lot of money. You may search for free search engine optimization tips online and you will find a lot, but you should be careful of the unbiased information.

In summary, Generating traffic to your site must be your main concern because without it you will never make sales or generating profits. You should focus only on one method of the two methods of generating traffic and I recommended that you focus in the free method if you are expert in your niche or if you can provide something special in your site.

Necessity Marketing or It would be nice Marketing

Business is all about getting the momentum up and running…and it just keeps rolling and growing.

I see a lot of disappointed people who never seem to get that momentum going. Or for that matter ever get started!

One of the reasons this happens is they just dip their toe in the water. They are just testing the business, but they never go all out. They never jump in the water. It never becomes sink or swim to them.

I hear many new people say, I have joined so many companies, I have been scammed so many times, I was ripped off, the company made promises, I have never made a dime, my up line never helped me  Blah, Blah Blah!  What did you do?  Did they really rob you’re credit card and signed you up? Did they hypnotize you to enter your credit card?  No…. you saw their website with a picture of a family  in front of their new home, new cars and a quote saying we are making $10,000 a month and we only work 2 hours a day!  Right!  Well now they gotcha!  What they didn’t tell you is for that to happen there are hours upon hours, failure after failure, making little or no money for months even years sometimes. 

I remember a time a light bulb went off for me…   I was listening to one of my audio books.  It was talking about what would you do to succeed, was it a “ Necessity or just a want or that would be nice”  This is where I truly changed my mind set.  ( I will talk more about mind set in a later post. )

I have experience and jump into things without doing my research before, just like you have and many others!  I had already tried everything else and it wasn’t working attitude!

So when I get started on a project now,  it’s not a  maybe. Maybe this would work out. It is either this works out…or I don’t know what I’m going to do attitude. I come at it with a desperation inside of me. It has to work. There isn’t any other option.  Let’s say you are broke and you’re furnace goes out and it’s the middle of the winter!  So, somehow you figure out how to get a  new Furnace ( It’s a necessity) I have been in situation like this before.

And you know what…I’M GLAD I was in that position at one time and now I know how to create that pain again so I know if I put my  all into it, it will work and be successful one way or the other!

If I wasn’t, I’ll bet you I would have gave up when it got hard. I would have gave up if a product I sold didn’t make any sales. I would have given up when people complained about the sales email, website, video etc. I sent them

There is ALWAYS another opportunity to give up. There is always another distraction to grab your attention. There is always a reason to lose your focus.

It’s that dedication and that desperation that keeps you moving and keeps you going.

Sometimes we see disagreements about whether you have to be truly passionate about your subject or not. While I believe passion is an important element, it’s not vital. I’ve seen many people build successful businesses when the subject wasn’t really one they absolutely loved. I’ve seen people who are very successful who do something totally different with their free time.

But I don’t believe I’ve ever seen someone who succeeded without passion or desperation. ( I know that is the case for me)

Passion is a motivator. So is desperation. Both of them can cause you to overcome obstacles and keep working when it doesn’t seem like anything is going the way you want. Both can keep you moving forward.

Both allow you to get up every day with  momentum and passion to keep climbing to the top!.

This is where so many people have trouble with internet business, network marketing, brick and mortar business. This isn’t a job. Where you work an hour, you get paid for the hour. If you work 50 hours this week, you get your normal pay and then you get overtime pay also since you went over the mystical 40 hours.

Online and Network marketing  businesses are more like investing.   It’s more similar to buy-and-hold investments. But instead of investing your money, you’re investing your time…to see your investment grow and payoff in the future.  You might have heard this before ( when you start a new business you are so underpaid in the beginning, then you are overpaid years down the road from your effort from months or years past!)

Work 20 hours this week…and you might not see any return at all. But you’re building the foundation, the knowledge, and the experience so you can be paid MUCH MORE months or years into the future.

The other issue is that it’s not a nice easy growth line either. You might make $100 a week then $200, then you make a few thousand then it drops to a few $100.00. You’ll have plateaus and breakthroughs. Everyone does. For the brand new beginner it’s earning that first dollar or making that first sale. It seems so tough to get over the hurdle. Then you break it…time for celebration. Most people then move up to a few hundred dollars per month and it seems like they get stuck here.

Usually the next level is broken through once you understand something new about your customers, marketing and what people are looking for, how to increase your conversion, and then expand out your marketing.

Then you move to the several thousand a month level. That’s a nice income. For some it’s just a little extra money while others it might enable them to leave their job to focus more on this business. Once you breakthrough here another one occurs in the ten to twenty thousand a month level. And so on.

Yet we like to think in nice looking graphs that just flow up one month after the next In fact, the plateau effect can be seen in almost everything – not just business. For example if you’re losing weight you’re experience the same effect. You lose weight for a while and then all of sudden everything seems to stop for a while. At these points you can’t give up. Instead you need to switch something up,  your desire to get it moving again.

And that’s where it comes down to in business. How bad do you want it?

Once you’ve started seeing some success, do you still have that desperation or passion pushing you to reach the next level? Are you willing to do what it takes ?

Because it all comes back to that momentum…are you going to just put your toe in the water or you going to jump in?

Never forget this: ( Find something you will enjoy doing and then find a mentor that  has already succeeded at it)

Today, most people are stuck in the old times of MLM training. You need to make sure you study and practice the updated standards of MLM training which guarantee’s success and we have the secret these MLM marketers have learned.

The secret is choosing a team with an experienced coach who will teach, guide and motivate you towards success. Of course there are other factors to consider such as the financial backing of the company, timing, the compensation plan and marketing a consumable product. But if you are not properly trained and motivated during those early months you are almost doomed to failure. But think about it. Every professional business person or athlete has a coach to aid in the training. Why should it be different in MLM training?

By becoming a MLM marketer, it will involve less than $500 to start your business and you can choose a coach that will be training you throughout the process. You will of course need to do a background check to make sure you are bringing in the right person to motivate and aid you, but the time to do this will be worth it.

1. Make Sure That He Or She Has A Proven Track Record
   You want to find a coach that pushes you to achieve all the goals you set for yourself.
2. Go With Someone Who Has Been Training In MLM For Many Years
   You want to find someone who has had a lot of experience. Not just positive experience, but negative ones too so you know that anything can be thrown at them, and they can take care of it.
3. Find Someone Who Knows How to Market
   To market, you need to network. You coach should be able to teach you the concepts of teleconferencing, direct mail, etc to expose yourself to more opportunities to gain more money.
4. Find Someone Who Continuously Studies The Industry
   To be a professional MLM marketer, you need to be a part of a lot of experiences such as attending seminars, subscribing to magazines and much more. Doing this and seeing this from a person shows you their dedication in making your business better. They are open to every opportunity to keep on moving forward and this is the type of leader you want.

How To Schedule Time Management

It is common for everyone to have a schedule, but is it completely working to better your business? As long as you know how to schedule your time it will then help you take your business and personal life to the next level.

Time management can be somewhat confusing for some people. Understand time if obvious, but with the word management changes the whole idea. It’s basically a system of managing your time.

Time management helps you maintain a flow throughout your day. It helps keep you to continuously be productive everyday. When ever you find yourself inactive and not accomplishing anything, there is room left to be unproductive.
It is easy to overlook if not focused on it.

24 hours in everyday is one thing that will never change. With a time management schedule, you can determine what you will do with each of these 24 hours. It is pretty simple in concept but can be more difficult to act on. When you use a schedule, you will be able to decide how best to use those 24 hours to complete everything on your to-do while still getting enough time to rest and relax.

Before you can make time management schedule, you need to know a little bit about scheduling and how to make it work for you. One of the first things you need to do to make a schedule is to write down all the things you need to do in a day on a piece of paper. You might also want to write out things that need to be done on a weekly and monthly basis. From this, you still start sorting the tasks that you have written down into common themes. You should then give a time estimate to each one. Don’t worry; it doesn’t have to be exact. It’s better to overestimate a bit than to underestimate and run out of time to do something.

You start to create a schedule with all the tasks you have recorded. Keep track of which tasks need to be done first, and which time and day the task needs to be finished.  Note this is the most crucial step in regard to time management.

Where I have had the best success is, write down the top six things you want to accomplish that day.  Start with the most important and then conitnue to the next one and so on until list  is  completed.  If you don’t finish all 6, at the end of the day create your new list with the one you didn’t finish and put it in the number one postion and then add the other 5 you want to complete the next day!  Do this for one month and see how much you get done.  A side effect I have seen from doing this, is more profits……..  Nice!
